Sound engineering program
A three-year international Master’s program
In September 2012 a two or three year [1] international Master’s program in sound engineering as well as a professional recording studio will open their doors in Clermont-Ferrand (France) to students and professionals from all over the world. After almost Three years of hard work with the state (Auvergne region) and Blaise Pascal University, we are happy to announce that this innovative and unique program has become a reality.
We have received many inquiries from students and professionals from all over the world for the past year regarding enrollment. Creating the most complete and the most competitive sound engineering program in the world is not an easy task. We want to thank everyone for their faith, their patience and their understanding.
Students enrolled in professional training programs such as sound engineering and acoustics need to learn and understand specific scientific material in order to excel in their field. Our goal is to give our students the opportunity to acquire excellent theoretical knowledge of electromagnetic waves, sound waves (characteristics, propagation, wave modeling, diffusion…), electric current flow, electric current conversion and electronics. We wish for our students to become skillful and thoughtful professional with all-round practical skills in a field that requires not only scientific knowledge but also imagination, creativity and a great deal of concentration and commitment.
In the studio, students will learn miking, editing, mixing (in stereo and surround) and mastering techniques with the most successful professionals in the industry. They will also learn music production and composition as understanding music is a must for a sound engineer.
We are looking forward to seeing you soon on campus!
