Synopsis

"The International Conference on Electrical Fuses and their Applications (ICEFA) will be held for the eighth time, in September 2007 in Clermont-Ferrand (France). Following the previous seven conferences, this conference is being organized in close collaboration with the FUSE CLUB founded many years ago in order to increase knowledge about fundamental processes, physical phenomena associated with the fuse operation, measurements, new technologies and fuse designs, semiconductor devices, fuse applications, manufacturing, standardisation, electrical safety, electrical supply.

The Laboratory of Electric Arc and Thermal Plasmas (LAEPT, CNRS UMR 6069) from Blaise Pascal University is on charge of the organization of a new meeting in order to continue the growth of the research of new physical, technical, .. ideas by bringing together the specialists of the areas concerned with fuses. This eighth conference is a new opportunity to bring together researchers and engineers from academic and industrial sectors concerned with the fundamental and technical aspects, and with developing areas linked to electric fuses working and their use in various applications."
